Operation Summary

  • Starting a Cold Engine: Turn fuel cock to 'ON', set engine stop switch to 'START', turn starter (choke) on, and kickstart. Warm up engine before riding.
  • Starting a Warm Engine: Follow cold start procedure, but choke might not be needed. Use slight throttle if necessary.
  • Starting Off: Apply rear brake, push off centerstand, close throttle, set engine stop switch to 'RUN', check for obstacles, and slowly turn throttle to move.
  • Acceleration and Deceleration: Control speed by opening and closing the throttle.
  • Braking: Close throttle completely and apply front and rear brakes gradually. Avoid sudden braking, especially when leaning.
  • Parking: Stop engine and turn fuel cock to 'STOP'.
